Final CUB 2012 Site Listing!

Even if you haven’t registered a team, you can still get up on Saturday September 15, 2012 and decide you want to help out. Take note though that teams start as early as 6am and are sometimes done by 11, so its an early morning thing!

 

Here is the final listing of CUB sites for 2012. If you decide to ‘turn up’ bring a hat, gloves, protective shoes, sunblock, water and a great cleaning spirit!!

Since 1997, The Future Centre Trust (FCT) and its supporters have been working hard to promote environmental education within the community. The FCT developed Clean Up Barbados in 2009 and held its first event on Saturday September 19, 2009 which was very successful. In 2010, the numbers of participants grew, 2011 sent us a blessing of rainfall and extended our normal ‘one day’ event, so in 2012, we invite YOUR participation to help spread the word, actively participate and feel part of something worthwhile. Clean Up Barbados calls for more attention to illegal dump sites

This is the call from the Project Coordinator and Administrative Director of the Future Centre Trust, implementing organisation for the Clean Up Barbados Campaign taking place today across the nation. The event, in its second year, is focused on cleaning areas noted for littering and illegal dumping. The event is held on the third weekend of each year thanks to its affiliation with the Clean Up The World global initiative implemented in over 120 countries. (more…)
