Clean Up Barbados calls for more attention to illegal dump sites
This is the call from the Project Coordinator and Administrative Director of the Future Centre Trust, implementing organisation for the Clean Up Barbados Campaign taking place today across the nation. The event, in its second year, is focused on cleaning areas noted for littering and illegal dumping. The event is held on the third weekend of each year thanks to its affiliation with the Clean Up The World global initiative implemented in over 120 countries. (more…)
Clean up 2010
Some 40 groups participated in Clean Up Barbados 2010 with over 800 volunteers! The amount of trash that was collected this year was less than 2009, which could be a good thing, you might say? Not so – it just meant we had less assistance last year with trucks and heavy equipment than we did the year before. Read more here from September 18 2010
