2011 event info

The 2011 version of Clean Up Barbados has been one of staggered motion! When we awoke on the morning of September 17, 2011, all we saw was rain and continuous flooding from the previous days weather. It was a grim prospect to be out in that for the Nationwide Clean Up Barbados Campaign!

But being the soldiers we are, some 120 people came out on that morning to brave the weather and do their part of the CUB event for 2011. Instead of the 30 groups registered to all go out on the one day, we had a total of 9 groups out on the day itself, with another 4 the weekend after on September 24 and 1 more on October 1st. Our last group for the year was KPMG who went out on November 5th for their clean up from Hastings to Drill Hall.

The total haul for the year from the groups was 3.04tonnes of waste with roughly 60% of this total being in regular waste and the other 40% being allocated to recyclables.

Shown here is the Thank You for all of the efforts from all of the groups in organising their teams, our sponsors and contributors and everyone who was able to continue to head out and lend a hand to the clean up!
